The Engineering Academy are proud to be affiliated to or offer courses which are accredited or certified by the following organisations
Centre of Vocational Excellence: At the end of 2004 the Engineering Academy was awarded CoVE status by the Learning and Skills Council. CoVEs are being established across the UK with a remit from government to take the lead in their specialist vocational training area.
Energy & Utility Skills has been established with the specific aim of making sure that its member's voices are heard on skills issues. Working under the governance of the Sector Skills Development Agency (SSDA), and within the Skills for Business network (SfBn), our employer-led Sector Skills Council has been charged with tackling the skills debate, qualifications and skills delivery.
The Engineering Academy is accredited by the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) to carry out safety programmes.
The Engineering Academy is an accredited City & Guilds training centre and are able to provide a wide range of City & Guilds accredited academic courses.
The Engineering Academy is accredited by the Science Engineering & Marine Training Alliance (SEMTA). An employee led, UK charity owned by industry, licensed by the Secretary of State for Education and Skills to drive forward the effort to improve the UK's productivity through improvements in its Sector Skills base.
The Engineering Academy is an accredited EAL centre. (EAL) is a leading UK awarding body for National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) and their Scottish equivalents (SVQs).
By providing information, advice, resources and training, RoSPA is actively involved in the promotion of safety and the prevention of accidents in all areas of life - at work, in the home, and on the roads, in schools, at leisure and on (or near) water. The Society works towards its aims with central and local government, the caring services, the police and with public and private sector organisations large and small. Some of its work is funded by grant and sponsorship but mostly relies on the support of its growing Membership.
NEBOSH was the first health and safety awarding body to have been given accreditation by the government's Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). You can therefore be assured that a NEBOSH qualification provides evidence of real achievement.
Cogent is an independent, employer-led organisation formed to represent the Oil and Gas Extraction, Chemicals Manufacturing and Petroleum Industries. Established in 2002, the Engineering Academy has been a member for 3 years.
The Engineering Academy is also a member of SummitSkills, the Sector Skills Council for the building services engineering sector.
