This course is designed for staff who are to be Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessors. By the end of the course delegates will have:
Discussed the duties imposed by the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992.
Discussed the responsibilities of managers, assessors and users as well as the risks associated with DSE and the practical steps that can be taken to reduce the risks.

The Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992 and the requirements for DSE assessment.
Identification of DSE "users".
Setting up the workstation.
Correct posture.
Hazardous working practices.
Possible ill-health effects.

Users’ responsibilities.
