    By the end of this course, delegates will have thorough background knowledge in the field of Portable Appliance Testing based around the IEE Code of Practice and will have an awareness of the scope and implications of the Electricity at Work Regulations.

    Safety regulations cover approximately 20 million people at work. Employers and employees have a duty to conform. Portable Appliance Testing of Equipment is of special importance due to the legal requirements and the safety of personnel The course will cover:

    • The Legal Dimension

    • Identifying the Equipment to be Tested

    • Competence to Test

    • Special Equipment

    • Frequency of Tests

    • Record Keeping

    • Interpretation of Results

    • Portable Appliance Testing Awareness

    • Practical Session: Portable Appliance testing

    The City & Guilds 2377- 002 On-line examination will be held at the end of the course at 17:00, delegates should expect to have completed everything by approximately 18:30.
