Construction and characteristics of coupling types.
Types to include:
Bibby and Fena flex couplings
Fluid Couplings
Solid Couplings
Dismantling techniques relevant to couplings and shaft systems
Cleaning and assessment for condition, dimensions and tolerances
Re-assembly of couplings
Alignment of shafts by various techniques suitable to the coupling and shaft system and site requirements within specified tolerances
Have a working knowledge of a class 1 laser system
Note: Practical exercises would be based on utilising our coupling alignment rigs, but it would be beneficial to carry out selected alignment procedures on customers site specific requirements.
