Siemens S5 Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) Level 2

- Objectives

To give delegates who already have a basic understanding of PLC’s more detailed knowledge of operation and programming to enhance their current skills. Along with the Hardware and Software elements there will be programming and fault finding exercises using conveyor systems and software simulation. LAD Ladder programming will be used with constant reference to CSF and STL alongside the development and use of the Simatic S5 Software simulation.

Create and Identify new or used files
Produce Structured programmes

Create and use Data Blocks, Program Blocks, Function Blocks and Organisation Blocks
Use the Search/Find, Monitor/Modify and Status Variable windows
Enable and use the Force Variable Functions
Note: Ladder programming will be used throughout the course with references to other display formats.
