Electrical Multi-skilling – Enhanced
-
- Objectives
-
The Electrical Multiskilling Enhanced training course is the natural progression following on from the Foundation course. Delegates with a non-electrical background will gain a further understanding of Electrical Motor Theory. The course is high in practical content and will allow delegates to perform additional electrical tasks safely and competently.
- Content
-
Over the course of the week, delegates will complete the following modules, timescales depend on delegates’ understanding and speed at which practical sessions are completed
Refresh overview foundation course
Fuse characteristics
Discrimination and diversity in electrical systems
M.C.B types and characteristics
Basic capacitance and inductance in electrical circuits and safety issues
Motor types, construction, characteristics and operation
Dead fault finding on 415V motor pumped system
Star delta relationships and the need for reduced current starting auto-Transformer starters, resistance starters and soft-start starters.
Investigate electrical interlocking and proximity devices
Wire a forward and reverse star delta motor starter panel from schematic diagrams
An introduction into PLC interfacing and control systems
Fully static and function test at the relevant stages
Dead fault finding on 415V motor pumped system
